I am a labor and personnel economist.
Most of my work focuses on the relationship between workers' outside options and their wages and on the role of firms in the labor market. My work leverages administrative data, combined with a variety of experimental, quasi-experimental, and survey methods.
I am an assistant professor in UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business (Economic Analysis and Policy group) and Department of Economics (joint appointment). I received my Ph.D. from MIT in 2019.
I am on leave at SIEPR for the 2025-2026 academic year.
